Why my laptop cant tetect my cd rom?

Hello,
all of a suddent I lost my cd rom drive in mt lap top?
My lap top couldn't reconize there is a drive install?

Does the rom light come on and does it spin with a CD in it?

Is the drive seen in the BIOS? if not it is common to have a bad connection between the drive and the computer, to fix simply remove the single screw holding in the drive, remove the drive and refit
If the drive is seen in the BIOS then you can try deleting the upper and lower filters.
