I want to overclock my CPU and possibly Ram.

Is the Mushkin Enhanced Volta enough to power this system including overclocking the CPU to 3.8 GHZ. And do you think that the Volta's power will stay under 50% load?

Also, is the cpu cooler fit for cooling this overclocked CPU
Any suggestions are welcomed :D

thanks

I would make a sacrafice of the modular unit to get something a little more powerful. 39 Amps is not really enough on the 12 volt for a 600 watt unit.

This unit has 54 amps on the 12 volt but its not modular to get modular you will have to spend a little more to get it and the power you need so at the same price point as the mushkin unit you will have to make a decision modular or power you need. I personally would go with the more powerful unit since it shouldn't be too hard to hide some wires in a drive bay somewhere.

This unit is modular and has tons...
A Corsair 550VX has a little more usable power and is better known.

Not wild about AsRock motherboards.

If you are going to use a WD drive, spend a little more and get a Black.

Choose an HSF with a 120 mm fan. It will probably cool better and be quieter.

For a SWAG (Scientific Wild Ass Guess), off the top of my head (but I repeat myself :)), I'd estimate the load on a 550 Corsair at around 65% of capacity.

This unit is modular and has tons of power but is bringing you over $100 with shipping.
