They are comparable. Depending if the game favors Nvidia or ATI, they will trade punches. I would look for benchmarks of the games you play and decide from there.

"The HD 5670 does not consume power?" - Um sure it does, it just doesn't require a 6-pin like the 9600GT, however I believe they are comparable in power consumption.

Sure, it is called the HD 5570. It has lower clocks and DDR3 memory instead of DDR5. Which means you lose performance.
  3. thats not what I meant dude,.............I mean lijke the eco editions of HD 5670?
  4. I have to play gta4, crysis, saints row 2, resident evil 5, Splintercell conviction, Assassins creed, Pes 10, ashes cricket, Hitman 4 blood money at decent settings.....
  5. so it will give a better performance than 9600 GT and an underclocked 9800 GT?
  6. Can anyone tell me which company is better when it comes to ATI cards?

If you are playing at 1280x1024 you might be ok with a 5670 or 9600GT at moderate settings. I seems the 5670 outperforms the 9600gt in most cases, except Crysis. However, any higher resolution and they will REALLY start to struggle with modern games. However, for the price of a 5670, I think I would get a 4850 which tend to be around the same price and would perform much better. There are even GTS 250's for around that price or slightly more if you can find them, which would be even better.

How underclocked? Why would you even underclock that card?

To each their own really. As long as it doesn't have a cheap cooler they are pretty much all the same.

  9. Does anybody know the rate of Hd 4850 and Hd 5670 in Indian rupees.............?
  10. does 4850 has 6 pin?
  11. Either is fine. I have no preference. XFX has better support and a longer warranty.
  12. dude this answer you will get only when you will move out in indian street. only idea about price you can take from the web.

If you have lower resolution 1024x768 you can live up with 5670 its a perfect choice, dx11 supported better performance than 9600gt in new games. Have a look at this http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-5670,2533-15.html

    Asus no 1?

I bought Asus En 7200 Gs and was tottaly dissapointed...........
  22. ya bro, if u play dx11 supported games, you can maxed out the graphics as in dirt2 but it degrades performance but still 25fps are playable, but in your case this count will be around 30+fps as you will play on 1024x768 resolution
  23. I found ASUS EAH5670 cover on the net...........

LOL brother that was not ASUS fault, it was the chip which was responsible, what can you expect from so cheap nvidia chip, 7200gs was never designed for gaming
  25. Brother it will be better if you can tell me the price of 4770 in India, because 4770 is a much much better choice than both 5670 and 9600gt and even 9800gt

Thanks for confg, u need another 1gb stick or games will lagg severely and if you can install windows 7 (32 or 64 bit) build 7600 it will be good for you as windows 7 increases gaming experience with new games( both frames and quality increases) and you cannot use dx11 in XP or Vista , u need windows 7

Ok, brother if you can afford it, then its good for you as you can play any game on maximum settings, but in some games like crysis and newly battlefield bad company 2 may do problems on very high graphics as your processor is 2.2ghz you can overclock it to 3ghz or more to achieve much better performace. I have HD4830 with 2gb ram and e5200 @ 4ghz so i can play any game with maximum graphics my resolution is 1440x900
  37. My PSU wont be enough for 4770.............
  38. it is fine, because 4770 takes less power you can check here http://educations.newegg.com/tool/psucalc/index.html
  39. can u tell me exact model number of you psu? or amperes on 12v rails

    6 A (i think)
  41. Dont know the Amperes..................I know it is 450 W...........
No problem until the GFX card is not overclocked.......... Is it?
  42. newzealend said:
    6 A (i think)

:o 6A on 450W, i dont think so even cheap PSUs have upto 16 or 18A
  43. have your PSU got any model number on it?
  44. normally 450w PSUs are 16A+ so i would recommend you to take 4770, it will work fine
  45. what is the power requirement of 4770..............? does it have a 6 pin connector?
  46. 4770 includes a 6 pin connector in its package, so dont worry if you psu havent any pcie 6pin connector. all GPUs include molex to pci e connector like this have a look http://www.erodovcdn.com/erodov/reviews/guide/pci-e-connector/pci-e-power-connector-3.jpg

4770 takes very less power your 450w psu is fine
  48. 4770 takes 20 more watts than 4670 or 5670, so dont worry
