I have the i7 3770K Cpu. Out of the box it runs at 3.9 Ghz under heavy load with the turbo boost enabled. I was very curious to do some minor overclocking to my CPU. So what I did was just ramp up the 3.9 Ghz turbo boost to 4.30Ghz with the first two cores at 4.3 Ghz, the third at 4.2Ghz and the last one at 4.1 Ghz. Though I did this small tweaking, I did not touch the voltage or change any other feature in the BIOS.
My question is, did I do it right?? I mean, is it ok to overclock to that without the change in Voltage??
As regards to temperature, it remains at around 40 C on idle and upto 65 C under load. I used to get these temperatures even when I was running at stock speed.
