I am looking to buy a i7 980x EE cpu and an asus iii formula lga 1366 mobo, and i am having a little bit of trouble figuring out what ram would give me the most gains. ill also be using 2 nvidia gtx580's in sli. i want stable ram that will give me the most out of this system. forking out money for ram is not an issue, so please dont suggest i switch to a downgraded cpu and get some pokey ram in order to save some money. my question is very clear, please help me match the best ram to this mobo/cpu. Thanks

Asus Rampage III Formula (LGA 1366) Intel X58/ICH10R sorry was tired when i typed it up lol. and what about ddr3 2000 ram?

oh and i forgot to mention i would like to have 12+ gb of ram, not sure what would be better 2+ matching sets of 6gb or a 12g set. thanks

why DDR3 2000MHz, you overclocking and are you planning on being able to clock that high.?
that's the only way to see those speeds is to overclock and that speed is not a givin..
if anything I would then get 1600MHz at the most..
