Advice on building a pc

I'm planning on building a gaming computer this summer and was wondering if anyone had any advice on doing it. this will be the first computer i build. i do know a fair amount about computer hardware but i don't know everything. i don't plan on spend tons of money so i kind of budget. i haven't picked a case yet but i don't want an expensive one. i haven't picked a power supply either, so i'd like to get some input on which ones are good and which i should avoid, i probably want to get at least 700w. the processor i want is

the motherboard i was looking at is

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5692033&csid=_21

but i noticed it was micro atx and was wondering if that meant that i had to have a micro atx case. or if there is another mobo i should look at.

i haven't decided on a video card but i was probably going to get an ati card. i looked at a 5770 and it looked good because of dx 11 and all but i read alto things about bad drivers.

if you have any advice or part suggestions please let me know and tell me where i can find them at.
thanks.
