CrossFire Support Needed for HD5770 ?

My Asus P5B MOBO doesn't support Crossfire.
Do I need Crossfire support in order to use a dual GPU card like the HD5770 that installs into a single PCIe slot?
My guess is that I do need Crossfire support but just wanted to be sure.

  1. First of all HD5770 is a single GPU card. If you are meaning HD5970 which is a dual GPU card it will run fine on a single PCIe slot board.
  2. Here's a link to the card I was referring too. It takes up two slots so I assumed it was a dual GPU card?
Anyway, thank you for the reply.

I meant it takes up two case slots not PCIe slots.
  5. Oh...
Then you just need to mod your case by expanding the expansion slots.
