I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section. I don't want to get laughed out of here, but I have an emachines that I added a HD5450 to. I use it as an HTPC and for light gaming. It is a small case and does not have a case fan, only one for the cpu. When I'm using the graphics card the temps go up past 90C pretty quickly. Whats the best way to add another fan? Should I cut a hole in the case, or mount it over the vent holes in the case. Should I make it intake, out, or both? There isn't a spare drive bay on the case, like I said it's small. Thanks!

Might try opening the side of the case, for starters. I am guessing its past warranty.

Have you considered putting the computer in a new case that does have a fan mount or two?

Worst case (ha!) scenario, you can cut a hole in the side of the case that isn't under the motherboard that is round and just smaller that the dimensions of your fan, then mount a fan with a safety grill like this one:

Or add a grill to a fan you already have:

The fan should be mounted to send air out of the case.
