Spontaneous dismounts of Essential SE 1tb drives

Hello,
I have recently picked up two WD My Passport Essential SE drives. I'm on a Mac, and have reformatted the drives. However, they spontaneously keep dismounting. Sometimes within 30 seconds of hooking up to the laptop, but more often within a few minutes. It is difficult to do large file copies or processing to a drive that keeps dismounting on it's own accord! Help?

I have the same problem. Only thing with me is that at least my file transfers continue, I just get a window saying that the drive is in use and cannot dismount. If I am not using it, it dismounts all the time at seemingly random intervals.
