Wireless pci adapter&router

I have a D-Link DWL-G520 airplusxtremeG wireless PCI Adapter. I am trying to find a nice router for a great conection.I have a Netgear rangmax wireless-n gigabit router WNR3500. My computer is about 50 feet away and i have a very low conection, Any ideas no better set up?
