How to install bootmgr in hard disk

Hello,
I have a problem with my ASUS laptop.It is preventing to boot any software saying bootmgr is missing.I tried to install Ubuntu 11.04 from cd,even this is not going to be boot.Can you tell me please which and how to install bootmgr in hard disk.

If it is a windows system then a repair install of windows should fix it.

When you tried to install Ubuntu, it's possible that your Bootmgr was corrupted. Try the repair install of windows as rolli59 suggested.

Yeah,exactly I applied the same many a times.Actually Windows was crashed ,I don't know how :??: 
But Good thing that happened to me is after so many efforts,I got success in installing Ubuntu,It was booted itself.
It took three to four days resolving it :( 
And now Linux is running on my PC successfully :sol:
