I picked out this motherboard and a Phenom II x4 955 CPU. The question I have is whether or not 1600 DDR3 memory would work with this set-up. I've read that the CPU can handle 1600, but the motherboard only supports 1600 over-clocked. I'm not sure if that means it can over-clock an 1333 to 1600 or if it can straight up handle 1600. Some reviewers of the motherboard got 1600 to work and some didn't.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I put this in the Corsair sub-category because there wasn't a sub-category for MSI.

1600 O.C means that you have to set the timings, speed, voltage of the RAM manually in the BIOS in order to run it at 1600MHz
