Motherboard, CPU and RAM compatibility Question

Hello,
I picked out this motherboard and a Phenom II x4 955 CPU. The question I have is whether or not 1600 DDR3 memory would work with this set-up. I've read that the CPU can handle 1600, but the motherboard only supports 1600 over-clocked. I'm not sure if that means it can over-clock an 1333 to 1600 or if it can straight up handle 1600. Some reviewers of the motherboard got 1600 to work and some didn't.

1600 O.C means that you have to set the timings,speed,voltage of the RAM manually in the BIOS in order to run it at 1600MHz
