Budget PC for $600: first time builder! Please Help!

BUDGET RANGE: 600.00 after rebates & taxes

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: programming, gaming, surfing the internet, general computing.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS

PARTS PREFERENCES: Whatever is cheaper and good quality.

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe 1 to 2 years down the road.

I am planning on buying a graphics card down the road, currently i would like to have a mobo with integrated graphics.

  2. Thanks for your input, as i said in my original post i would like a build that doesnt include a graphics card as i am planning on buying one down the road. Can anyone else please give me some suggestions or comment on the parts i have selected?

    The only problem is I've got no idea how much shipping or tax will be since I don't know what region or city you live in.

    CPU good.
    MOBO/RAM are Ok but not the best. HD is fine.
    Case, meh, lots of personal choice involved, but the Centurion 5 has a better rep for cheaper.
    PSU, you'll be fine up to a 5870 with a 500w.
    Optical, just get the cheapest.
