Hello, my Norton Security is up in 2 weeks and I can't afford to renew it. Am I putting myself at risk by going "FREE" vs paid? Keep in mind that I am Techtarded, just sayin...

Thanks, Matt Hyland

Free avg has been good for me, mcafee site advisor is another tool, add firefox and adblock and don't open suspect attachments or unrecognized links got me through 5 years till my tablet got stolen.

According to me You can go with comodo Internet Security which offers you full protection against any kinds of malware attacks, comodo Internet Security is available in both free and paid versions.

Commodo does offer outstanding protection. Outpost is another great program along commodos lines.

But to address your question, mhyland123, paid is much better overall. This is especially true of Anti-virus software. Intrusion control has some very good free options, but even there paid is better.
