Gigabyte 5770 with custom Zalman VF 1000

I thought I would be a little creative. I like what I have read about the Zalman VF 1000 cooler. My MB is Gigabyte, so I thought it would be nice to use a Gigabyte 5770 graphic card rather than another 5770. This required a bit of modification to the cooler with a dermal tool. The end product works great and keeps my GPU nice and cool.

I didn’t take any official temps, but metal on the side of the card would feel very hot to the touch. The piece of metal on the side of the card is part of the memory cooler, so I left it on when I added the Zalman cooler. Now the same piece of metal is barely even noticeably warm to the touch. That’s got to be good!
