X4 630/X4 955/i5 750 ?

Hello,

I built three different systems with the same hardware except for the mobo/cpu combos. Here at the final prices of each configurations :

706.51$ = Athlon X4 630
747.96$ = Phenom X4 955
816.96$ = Core i5 750

All prices are in CAD. Which chipset/CPU to choose now ? Gaming, multitasking and a lot of Photoshop under Windows 7 64bits. It would be built with 8GB of DDR3 1333, a Radeon 5850 and few hard drives in RAID.

Core i5 for Photoshop performance.

Even at a clock rate disadvantage of 733 MHz, the core i5 comes out on top.
