  1. Result: Grey Screen Crashes are still not fixed.
  2. Big Cursor is also not yet fixed (its in the Known issues for ALL operating systems). I am already kinda used to it.
  3. About the GSOD,for many users (including me which i tested)raising the 2D clock almost takes care of this issue however i read that 10.4 will fix this issues
  4. ASUS AH 5870 Win 7 and not one single problem.
  5. how do you raise the 2d clock?
  6. Overclock with any other program besides CCC.
  7. So did they change any from the BETA version to the final ?
  8. Actually, I find it you OC at all in CCC, it raises my 2-D clocks to 500/750.

    I think the final is actually missing a few things the preview had, though I am not sure on this.
  9. I updated my drivers and went from the following in 3Dmark Vantage. i usually do 2-3 runs and screen shot the best result. They are always really close anyways.

    With stock 5870 (which is what it usually is at):
    18342 --> 19030

    With 5879 @ 950/1300:
    19759 --> 20436

    edit: These were from 10.2 to 10.3
  10. Which drivers did you update from?
  11. installed fine, really didn't see a difference, though i have 2 x 4870 as opposed to a 5XXX series card
  12. what is this about a big courser?
    and should i fix what isnt broken? i have 9.12 drivers i believe, and the most i do is play dx9 because of xp.
  13. Installed them and played CODMW2 no problems. Smooth.
  14. Still no love for crossfire + eyefinity.

    Im pretty much getting similar results with my setup using 10.3.

    Will post some screen shots when I finish work.
  17. I edited my post. My results were from 10.2 to 10.3.

    Hadn't run any game benches, so I have to go by Vantage.

    By making profiles,here is an example for HD 5970:
    1_Open CCC and choose Overdrive tab,unlock the settings(by clicking on the " Gold Key" icon)
    2_Go top options,profile and choose profile manager.
    3_In the composition tab,choose "The following settings" and in the "ATI Radeon HD 5900 series"make sure only ATI overdrive is checked.
    Then enter a profile name,then save and close it(Do not activate).
    4_Go to C:\Users\Your UserName\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\Profiles (Its hidden so make sure you unlock hidden files and folders)
    5_Open the profile with wordpad and do this edits:
    <Feature name="CoreClockTarget_0">
    <Property name="Want_0" value="40000" /> (default is 15700)

    <Feature name="MemoryClockTarget_0">
    <Property name="Want_0" value="90000" /> (default is 30000)

    and for the second card:

    <Feature name="CoreClockTarget_1">
    <Property name="Want_0" value="40000" />

    <Feature name="MemoryClockTarget_1">
    <Property name="Want_0" value="90000" />

    Save the changes and close.

    6_Open CCC,in options tab go to profiles,profile manager and choose the profile that you saved before and then click on Activate and close.

    Now your cards will idle @ 400/900 and you should not experience any more problems in 2D mode.
  19. Ok here's what ive got on 10.3

    3d Mark Vantage on a i7 920 @4ghz with a 5870 default settings.

    Overclocked.

  20. So, did anyone go from 10.3a (preview) to 10.3 (official)? I'm trying to decide whether it is worth the upgrade, or if the differences are nil.

    I went from 10.3a to the official release, didnt see much difference in performance to be honest.

    False, may not work with QUADFIRE! but Crossfire is a go check out my video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPk67UmiWp0
  23. For those wondering about the difference from 10.3a and 10.3, I Just updated from 10.3a preview to 10.3 release and I saw a slight drop in performance. It is negligible. I think I will revert and take whatever I can get.

    I'm running a Q9550 @ 3.6 on a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P rev 1.6 motherboard with two XFX HD 5770's in crossfire.

    Here is the Unigine Heaven Benchmark with 10.3a

    Here is the Benchmark with 10.3 release.

    There have been very little changes to my system, I installed 10.3a this last Sunday. I ran three benches and they were consistent. I tried to compare apples to apples
  24. I only tested Dirt 2 so far, and the improvments were huge. I was getting 53 minimum and 63 average, and now I get 66 minimum and 84 average. BIG difference. This is at 1920x1080 8xAA Ultra settings.

    PS: LOL at the guy benching 1024x768 on low settings in the Heaven benchmark. Time for a new monitor
    buddy. ;) I get 38fps on the heaven benchmark, but that's with 1920x1080 8xAA 16xAF, everything else at
    DX11 settings. I was only getting about 34fps before, with the 10.1 hotfix.

    Time: 254.13
    Frames: 9906
    FPS: 38.98
    Scores: 981.906
  25. stupid gay mofo big cursor is due to these shitty drivers!!! i play hardcore games and every time this happens i must reboot :/.

    Also when watching youtube videos at fullscreen for like 10 min the whole computing freezes, is this cauzed by the drivers?

    OK, Sincreator, your penis is bigger than mine. (hangs head)

    If it make you feel better about yourself, and you can take on the world for it. Glad to help.
  27. I got a 5850...I benchmarked it last night on Batman: AA & got an average of 53 fps with every setting high and running on 1920x1080. Is this below or above average?

    Usually I don't try to "artifically" inflate mine, like you obviously did. :na: Anyway, that's enough flaming for me today.

    Back on topic: The 10.3's seem fine to me. If I run into any problems though, I'll just go back to the 10.2 hotfix. All was good for me with that one across all the games I play.
  29. I've been getting BSODs on 10.3a and 10.3.... Have not had the time to figure out for sure if it was them or not (i pulled my GPU OC back a bit... was happening during flash games, and desktop).

    Anyone else had stability problems? My CPU still seems stable though I'll run it through its paces tonight (on 10.2 again) to be sure.

    How did I "artificially" inflate my benchmark by posting the screenshots? Benchmarks are relative. These were the settings I choose and posted them. I had to use the same settings for both benchmarks.

    I only used these settings because they are the default settings. In essence you are calling me a lair, which I am not.

    I was kinda curious about your posted benchmark? Care to post a screen shot?
  31. I haven't had any issues daedalus685, but I pretty much only do gaming on the PC in my sig.

    My first thought was it was the driver, as I had not seen the BSOD before i upgraded and have not again since I removed it... though it could be an issue with one of my overclocks... I'll have to look into it more.
  33. Well, I certainly have seen drivers mess with overclocks. Hard to prove though if it isn't consistent.
