My HD crashed and had to reinstall XP Prof. All indications are that it
loaded on drive F:, however when going to the BIOS, it is correctly labelled
as drive C: I have software that will only load to c:. Config manager won't
let me change the drive letter to c: Dell support has been no help.

Start Over and reinstall WinXP but with all hard drives disconnected
except the one used for XP. Do a clean install and format your drive. Select
new install>Advanced>Want to choose which partition XP installs to Option.

In particular: No USB stick, IOmega Zip disks, etc. in any drives!
