How to find the PCB Version of a motherboard I am thinking to buy?

Hello,

I am thinking to buy the ASUS M4A78LT-M LE motherboard to be used with an Athlon IIX4 630 (ADX630WFK42GI).


This motherboard supports that CPU since PCB version 1.00G.

How can I find out what version the PCB is before I buy it? Online retailers don't seem to publish this info.

They rarely do. Maybe newegg will. Some are stamped on the motherboard, but rarely on the outside of the box.

Thanks. It seems to me that since this is a critical info, since a CPU might or might not work depending on the PCB version, that this info should have been published.
