start by entering all your components into a decent PSU calculator, or listing them here.

corsair 450w

its actually a 500w unit that peaks at 575w.

It's the spec that confuses me. Do I need a 24 pin, dual 12v, V2.2????? I've not got a clue.

If you have some links that would be great. I'm also on a bit of a budget.

what is your budget?
do you live in the USA?

yes you need a 24pin or 20+4pin.
don't worry about single, dual, multi rails. plenty of good and bad PSU use all the styles above.
