I'm looking for a CPU that will work with a MSI K9N6PGM2-V mobo, my current CPU is a Athlon 64 X2 3800+ and isn't very good for the latest of games.

I'm leaning towards a decent dual core/triple core or even possibly quad core if the motherboard can handle it.

My budget is around £130, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Check your post screen for your bios version. 9.1 is the last bios file available. If you don't already have it, download msi's "live update" software and install it on your system. Then use the "search" or auto option, whichever one works, and let it update all your files. Your system only works with phenom I cpus; Phenom II's won't work, your board is too old. You may find the 9600 or 9650 used on ebay; the 9100e and 9350e 65 watt cpus will also work. 95 watts is your board limit.
