i hv a power supply
output:

+5V~28A
+12~18A
MAX 428 W
and
-5V~06A
-12V~.8A
+5Vsb~2A
MAX 22 W

TOTAL MAX 450 watts..
CAN THIS RUN GTS 250
with dual core 2.5ghz 2gb ram
250 hd???
PLZ help i dont know anything...

afaik: It is the psu that could be damaged or fail under overload, not the VGA. in some cases vga or system overheat and instability may indicate a faulty PSU as well.

Never get a cheap PSU, the Corsair that was recommended would be a good choice. If you're uncertain about your current PSU, don't risk it.
 
Those cheap Coolermaster PSUs are garbage; found in competent technical reviews (those with load testing, waveform analysis, etc) to not be capable of outputting what's on their label. ANY of the Corsairs listed will be good. I've never read a bad competent technical review of a Corsair PSU (nor of Seasonic, or Antec).
