Solved Windows Experience Index 5.9? Tags: Hard Drives Western Digital Games Storage Last response: August 6, 2012 2:50 AM in Storage Share andyvet32 May 23, 2012 6:10:30 PM I have WD Black 1.5 and I got a Windows Experience Index score of 5.9. Is this low or normal for this? It says it is a little slow for the latest games. Can I do anything to make it faster? Thanks... To get higher than that you have to get a SSD. m 0 l Best solution Chainzsaw a b G Storage May 23, 2012 6:20:00 PM Yes that is completely normal for a Hard Disk Drive. You need a Solid State drive to increase your Index. However - an SSD will only reduce load times of all your programs and games (whatever is installed in it). It will not increase frames per second. Does that then mean a windows experience index of 5.9 for a hard drive is a meaningless score? It is fast but it might be a lot faster than the minimum score to get a 5.9 m 0 l Can't find your answer ? Ask !
