I decided to OC my CPU last night (i5 3570K), and I was wanting to know if I got a good OC. I set the multipliers in BIOS, then used ASUS TurboV EVO to fine tune everything (including the voltage). I ended up with a 4.4ghz OC @ 1.100V (got up to 1.160 in CPUZ under load), and the peak temp from a 9+ hr prime95 run was 69C. I was going to push to 4.5, but I couldn't get it stable last night, given I didn't up the voltage by very much. Below are my specs:

The temps sound pretty good for a clock like that. I think that if you could get stability on lower voltage, that it may help a couple degrees. However, I think that its a pretty good clock and a low voltage as it is, and those temps seem pretty normal for full load. If you want to push 4.5GHz I would up the voltage along with the multiplier until you get a stable clock.

Turbo V was giving me some problems with reseting to default settings when rebooting and not keeping the changes I manually made in BIOS, so I cleared CMOS and started over completely from the BIOS and was able to get a stable 4.5 with an offset of +.120, and 1.216 under load according to CPUZ. The only problem I encountered was the first worker for Prime 95 stopped working after about an hour, saying something about hardware fail (the others kept going until I stopped the test ~9hrs later). Is this something I need to be worried about? I haven't had any BSOD, and the system seems stable, but is there something I should change given the error?

If you want 4.5Ghz I would try from 1.25v - 1.3v & Test with Intel Burn Test and see if its Stable!! If it doesnt boot up or anything Reset cmos if mobo freeze in bios... & start from 1.3v to 1.35v & try to find it stable with Intel burn Test!!

Keep in Mind Ivy Bridge runs at 105c I would keep it Under 90c.... at 4.4ghz with only 69c that not bad man you can go Higher on your Overclock just keep it Under 90c :) I have mind Overclocked at 4.9ghz with Voltage of 1.45v & Temps 12hrs Stress Testing only 88c

Everyone CPU is Different so just try from 1.25v if that dont boot up with 4.5Ghz work your way up till you Find it Stable & Watch those Temps :) Also set LLC to Turbo & Disable c3/state power saving
