I am getting an old motherboard from my brother to use as a backup computer in case something happens to my other computer. It is found here:

I want to install the following SSD on it:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227728
Will these be a good fit for each other? If I understand correctly the SATA III is backwards compatible, but will that cause any significant reduction in speed? I do not need a lot of space because it will only be used for Windows 7 plus a couple of games which take up about 7 GB each.
My brother is giving me the memory, video card, and processor which he already bought with the system and has used for years so that should not be an issue.
Thanks in advance.
