Hey everyone can I get an opinion on my computer im getting? I want to play games maxed out with 24AA but only occasionally. Here Are the specs

4 GB 1600mhz
500GB Hard drive
ATI Raedon HD 5850
Intel X58 motherboard
860 watt psu

For gaming the GPU is much more important than the CPU

I would get a Phenom II X4 955 + HD 5870. And a 550-650 watt PSU.

Take a look at the sticky HOW TO ASK FOR BUILD ADVICE and post back with some more info, like the OP said for gaming thats not a well rounded PC.

Also with a X58 mobo you would be better off with 3x2 gigs of ram for 6

For 2 HD 5870s in xfire with room to OC the CPU i would go with, a nice Corsair 750w PSU

But to we get more info about the monitors rez and if the OP cares to xfire

get a AMD 965 + Ati 5870 plz. As the other guy said gpu is aLOT more important than the cpu.
