Asus P5Q pro turbo - memory

I have just bought the asus p5q pro turbo snd tried to install my OCZ gold edition GX XTC (2x512mb) ram.
When they are installed on the board, there is no POST and the computer never starts.
I have tried using other ram and everything is fine with them.
What is the problem?

Well if other RAM works fine and the OCZ gold edition doesn't, you may just have bad RAM there. At least you know it's not your board. Try one stick at a time, since only 1 might be bad. Check the ASUS manual for list of compatible RAM.

Or the RAM is incompatible with your motherboard.

Have you tried booting with the RAM that works and upgrading the bios?
