Windows Mobile: "Not Associated"?

Wireless Status: Not Associated

Objective: Connecting to my router
OS: Windows Mobile 6.1

When I "scan" in advanced mode, the router credentials appear, so I configure my profile in Windows to match the router. But I'm unsuccessful when trying to connect.

There is no MAC address filtering and no authentication on the router, so that's ruled out.

Any suggestions on solutions or troubleshooting?

Thanks.

This may differ depending on the 'phone but my Samsung Omnia, also running WM 6.1 just wanted to know the WPA security key and off it went - no configuration of profiles at all. It falls into any unsecured network it goes near without any help at all. Which 'phone are you using?[/#000ff]

Thanks for the reply,

I'm not using a phone. It's a barcode scanner from work, so maybe that has something to do with it.

But if the scanner can detect the router and its credentials, why can't it connect?
There's no security on the router, so my laptop was able to connect to the router instantly, but the barcode scanner won't connect.
