Memory upgrade: keeping original RAM

I'm looking at a memory upgrade for my computer. The motherboard is an MSI MS-7360 (according to CPU-Z) which is also known as a P35 Neo-F (according to Crucial's upgrade tool). My problem is that CPU-Z tells me the existing RAM (2x1Gb sticks) is in Slots 1 & 3. Does this mean I'd have to move one of them (from slot 3 to slot 2) in order to install the upgrade?

  1. I was worried that the existing memory might not have been in adjacent slots because of the number , but looking at the case there are two empty orange slots (which look suspiciously like RAM slots) next to each other. Guess I'm sorted - thanks!
