A question about installing old Rams

I have two DDR3 rams which are 3-4 years old.I want to install them to my new MotherBoard to test something out,but I don't know the speed of the rams.Since they are old,I think they'd be under 1333Mhz,which is the smallest frequency listed for my Mobo. Is it possible to run these rams or not?

Yes, pop those in and see what they run. They will 90% likely run at 1333, and if not, see about lowering the timing on them to 9-9-9-25, or 10-10-10-28.

Should be. The BIOS will read the contents of the little SPD chip and use that to set up your motherboard. You should not need to change any BIOS settings yourself
