Intel quad q8300 processor vs dual core e7500

Hello, buying new tower and have choice between two processors. Quad would have 6 gigs memory and i tb of hard drive, dual core would have 8 gigs memory and same hard drive. Would I see any difference if what I do is surf internet and do email primarily?

No you won't see a difference is that is your primary use.

you plan to game? video and/or audio editing?

both have more memory then they need, the Q8300 would be better in the long run for future software that is multi-core optimized but the reality is you would not see any difference if all you do is surf the web and email.

Games like fallout 3,dead space ,etc...will run better in e7500 for higher clocks but game which are multi-threaded may run slightly better on the q8300....so, by summing up the e7500 will be much faster than the q8300.....
