it will be very soon, in some games we can see 20-30% better performance than 5870

Apparently, from what I have read, the reviews are coming out late at night, about 8:00-10:00, can't wait.

If nothing else, and if the GTX 480 truly sucks, it sure does have a pretty cooler.

Heres hoping for a sub $300 5850!!!!

Here's my hoping for a free HD 5870 from L1qu1d
or a $260-$280 HD 5850...

Starting from the bottom up, we would say the least relevant video card is the GeForce GTX 470. In all our gameplay testing today, not once did the GeForce GTX 470 provide a superior gameplay experience compared to the Radeon HD 5850, even in Metro 2033. In fact, performance was very close between both video cards, and in some cases the Radeon HD 5850 proved to provide faster framerates. Looking strictly at performance, these video cards are equal.

I don't have high hopes for the drivers, they have had plenty of time already to deal with drivers and nVidia release drivers are always better than ATI release drivers.

The only thing I can tell is that the Hexus benchmarks were B.S. Not sure how I feel about these cards.

The Techpowerup review shows the 480 beating the 5870 in 2033 by quite a bit.
From this single review I have gathered that;
1. Fermi is going to be quite a future-proof card
2. It's going to be hot (good for those sub-0* winters)
3. And at least your not running a 4870x2

On to the next...
