Need a new power supply

hello i am going to buy a ati radeon 4770 and i am in need of a pwoer supply that is compatible with a f690vgm motherboard and i need a 75 watt 6 pin pcie power connecter to plug that into the gpu this is the link to the psu that i like best but i dont know if it is compatible with my mobo

I think your motherboard has a 20 pin connector (not sure though).. Anyway, in either case, the PSU must work fine.. Though if you can access newegg, i'll suggest you get this -

It's compatible (all newer PSUs should be compatible). It's a good PSU in that price range, but it really is old technology (I bought one several years ago) and not that efficient. If you can afford it, the Corsair CMPSU-400CX (80 PLUS Certified) would be a better buy.

lol im upgrading from a 250 watt psu :lol: i think 430 watts is ok because i just want to power a radeon 4770 and a duel core amd athlon 4800 + processor. i dont think im going to overclock it any im just going to really play games on low res even tho it can support 1900 by 1200 becuase i dont like hih res idk why. but i just liked to know that it is compatible with my system thank you !!!!!

Actually the Corsair CMPSU-400CX can provide over 400W while the TR-2 is limited to 380W, but it's inexpensive.

wo wo wait a minute lol ok so i dont really know about the whole 12 volt rail can someone plz explain what i need and what a 12 volt rail is, i know this is probly like the worst case of noob that youve ever seen but i need to know what i need to power my comp with that suggested corsair 400 watt psu. this is really confusing to me so help is very apreciated

If you don't really know, then just take our advice and get the much better CMPSU-400CX. The 12V rail is used to provide power to the CPU, GPU, etc. Having stable voltages is important as it makes a computer more stable.

i dont think the 4770 or the psu might fit because my case might be low profile, and it came with a 250 watt psu and i think thats all it will take

It's easy to verify, but a 250W PSU isn't necessarily smaller than a 400W PSU. What case or PC do you have?

The PSU specs are: Industry Standard 250 Watt

I may be wrong, but a standard size ATX PSU should fit.

good im only goin to get that 400 watt it shouldnt be that much bigger oh and also my processor is running a little hot 48-54 c is that ok for a amd athlon 4800 + or is it too high?

hey this might be a rookie question but what are artifacts because when ever i play games for maybe 1 and a half hours little squares show up when guns are firing or there are green dots in the background

Then you know what artifacts are. Is your video card overclocked or is it overheating?

umm i think its overheating but i was asking are those artifacts or is it like corruption or otherwise it gets to 102 c sometimes
