okay, so i just bought new stuff and my motherboard is micro atx. and im looking at cases that are Micro/Mini, most of which have no side or top fans. they got fans on the back or you could put one in front too. are they any good? or will I need good ventilation for my video card and all? Let me know. thanks.

my New system:

AMD Athlon II X2 255 Regor 3.1GHz Socket AM3 65W
Foxconn A76ML-K AM3 Ready / AM2+ / AM2 AMD
ECS NR9800GTE-512QX-F GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit DDR3
A-DATA 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W
200G Seagate (Master)
500GB Wester Digitital SATA

it will be ok, i ran a similar set up in a micro tower.

obviously it will run warmer (9800GT always ran warm) and upgrading to longer video cards will be a hassle.

any reason why you don't want a mid-tower case?

well, i want to get a new pc next year and give this one to my uncle. would it matter if i add 2 or 3 extra fans? would it run cooler or not?

most micro towers come with one fan, so 1-2 fans will help

It might run cooler but at the expense of heavy noise which your uncle surely wont like i guess.. A mini tower might fit in small size fans (92 mm or lower) which have a high RPM rate and so more noise.. They are definitely not build with gaming chasis design in mind so airflow is not as neat.. May be you should really opt for a low cost mid tower.. Something like a CM Gladiator or Antec 300..

i use a antec p180 mini. with a i7 980x and hd5870 and everything is cool. its a quite cased and it has good air flow. everything in the case is water cooled, except the video card and its still at 43c iddle and 68c on load. so i know this case cools good. this case is getting cheap i bought mine at frys for $43.99 plus tax
