Hi, I just bought a NEC usb 3.0 pcie card and can't boot external hdd with it. I did update the firmware to 3.0.2.5(15 may 2010). The hard disk was not listed on boot device even when I choose Bootable add in card. Will I be able to boot on the future when the firmware update?

I tried to copy a file 6.96Gb from internal hdd to external hdd via usb 3.0 and the speed was 60MB/s average complete in 45sec, but when i copy form internal hdd to internal hdd the speed was 50MB/s. I dont understand sataII to sataII copy were slower than sataII to usb 3.0. my external hdd is samsung 250GB 7200rpm.

First generation of NEC-Chipsets for USB 3.0 (used in all recent controllers in 2009/2010) is not bootable!
