i have done some hunting and im being told my best options are =

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (L2) 2.13 GHz (2x1MB,1066 MHz,LGA775)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (L2) 1.86 GHz (2x1MB,1066 MHz,LGA775)
Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 (L2) 2.00 GHz (2MB,800 MHz,LGA775)
Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 (L2) 1.80 GHz (2MB,800 MHz,LGA775)

will all work. can i get someone to confirm this please ;) i really hope this is true cause the e6400 got 400 more points in cpu benchmarks. and would give me a nice boost for gaming

Keep us posted.
I never knew there were incompatible 775 chips for 775 sockets, interesting. I really don`t see why you couldnt use the PDC line or the C2D line. Let us know what you find out.
