Hello,
I am building a computer-trying, and am looking for advice on the peripherals. I have in mind a DH55HC H55 motherboard with 6GB Kingston DDR3 RAM and Intel BXSTS 100C Cooler Xeon CPU and a Gigabyte Superb 720W Fan power supply. Am I on the right track with compatibility. Further what sort of a case is required.

^ Not a good idea to use 6GB RAM(if it is a 3x 2GB kit) on a P55/ H55 board...Reason - If you populate 3 of the 4 RAM slots, then you will loose Dual-Channel...Those kits are mainly for LGA 1366 CPUs, that have Tri-Channel controllers, hence 3 RAM sticks...

And check if the CPU cooler compatible with H55 board - its given as a LGA 1366 CPU cooler and no mention of LGA 1156 mountng kit(for H55 board)

And 720W PSU ? multiple graphic cards ??

Agreed about the RAM - the 1156 chipset utilizes dual channel memory, so you'd be better off with 4GB (or 8GB).

I'd go with a better PSU and one that is less wattage, unless you're going for dual graphics cards. I'd go with Antec or Corsair.

Also, I'd choose a nice P55 instead of the H55 - something like the Gigabyte UD3R that has USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gbs.
