The power supply on my computer went dead so i put the old power supply that came with the computer back in, this power was never even use i put a bigger one in the day i got the computer, the compaq power supply is a liteon power supply it has just 19amps on the 12volt rail, is that enough to power a gefore gt 220 1gb and will my computer blow up

On XFX's website, the GeForce GT 220 1GB needs a minimum of 18A on the 12V rail - you should be fine, considering that the power requirement tends to be overestimated.

What are your other system specs ? also what are the full specs of the liteon PSU ?

amd x2 7550
3gb ddr2
300gb hd sata
dvd burner
and thats about it there 19amps on the 12v rail

That is the total power requirements for a "typical" system, not just the video card. A GT220 by itself only needs 5 - 6 amps.

well i used the eXtreme Power Supply Calculator Lite and from what it said i need a total 197watt so then i should be fine then right
