Is there a difference????

Hi!

I have a Very Simple question. In a Mobo with 4 DDR3 RAM slots which is the most effective way to make up 8GB of RAM.

1) 2x4GB
2) 4x2GB

Is there any difference???? Is there any effect on the dual channel function???

With 2x4GB you have a better upgrade potential along with better OC'ng capabilities but aside from these 2,there aren't any notable differences.
