I am purchasing a new desktop system early this year and can't decide to buy a system that has capabilities of using 16 Gb or 24 Gb of ram. I typically simultaneously run several engineering modeling programs with several internet pages open. Is it advisable to spend th extra money on the system that can be upgraded to 24 Gb of ram? Thanks.

most people wont ever use 8gb or RAM in their PC's - more is always better but it all depends on what you use your PC for

For extremely large engineering models it might be worth it. Adding a few web pages doesn't use much, extra tabs use next to nothing. What's the difference in price between the two?
