5770 vs 4870 vs gts 250 ?

At launch I heard that the 5770 was a bit slower than the 4870 and only a bit faster than the gts 250. Now, with the recent driver improvements is the 5770 faster than the others to justify the extra price difference ( not including Dx11 or eyeinfinity, just fps)?

The 5770 is by far the superior choice of those three, and yes it is quite a bit faster than the 4870 now.

At the moment:

Both the 4870 and the 5770 are about the same, the 4870 is still around 2% faster.

Both cards are a signifgant ammount faster than the GTS 250.

4870>5770>GTS 250.

But I would recoemnd the 5770, due to the lower power usage, even if you don't care about Eyefinity and DX11.

jenn, The new drivers affect both cards, the 5770 is still slower, even if it is the better deal now.

Show me recent gaming benchmarks where the 4870 beats the 5770.

5770 is clearly ahead of the 4870 in metro at least.

Yep, But most games the 4870 beats the 5770 by a small margin, or ties it.

The new drivers boost both, so the 4870 remains a tad faster.

But the 5770 is the clear better value right now.
