Ram issues

hello im in the processe of putting my new build together. i have the Asus crosshair iv formula MB and AMD phenom2 965 BE cpu. i also have 6gigs of crucial ballistix 1333 ram. my problem is when i have more than one of my sticks in i get a blue screen with a memory dump then computer restarts. idk what is wrong. any ideas?

6GBs? You're running 3 sticks on a dual channel CPU I'm assuming?

What sticks are they? Are they properly setup in the bios?

Run memtest to see if you have defective memory stick.

so i borrowed another stick from a friend. and it works fine now. i guess i just needed 4 sticks

Or they aren't setup correctly. I think someone already suggested that

i have 3 of the same and one of a different kind. totaling 8GB of RAM.

ya they work fine. the other one is a Gskill brand one.
