NAB 2010 : Include USB3.0 in Edit Builds.

Hi, Folks ... Just an info-note:

NAB 2010 (National Assoc. Broadcasters) Annual convention just ended and I am starting to research "what-all" has been announced.

One thing, that seems clear, is that USB3.0 devices are hitting the channel, in May. These are KEY devices ... central to the functional build, and so it would be in our client's best interest to include USB3.0 (full bandwidth) ports in all edit builds, or whenever possible.

The sw product cycle (full revision upgrades) for edit sw is longer (slower dev) so most pro edit suites are at an awkward stage, when it comes to Win7-64P ... almost everybody is still at 32 bit for core apps. The impression I am getting is that most stuff will run on 64bit OS, but with no added benefit.
