Dell xps 9100 motherboard

Hello,
You all seem to know this motherboard quite well. I may be purchasing the xps 9100 desktop and was wondering if anyone knows if the usb ports are built onto the motherboard or if they are on a pci card inserted onto the motherboard? Are they usb 2.0 or 3.0? Dell support is pretty much useless in this regard so I thought I'd seek out some friendly advice. Thanks.

Usb 3.0 is optional on the front usb ports; the 4 usb motherboard ports on the back are all 2.0.
