I am hoping to find a AM3 motherboard that I can use my old 3.5 floppy drive - any good boards out there that will do the trick with an AMD Athlon II X4 645 ?

Do manufacturers check the MBs before sending? It seems that there are a lot of DOA boards these days (My last build was 4 years ago).

Suggestions? Also, prefer a full ATX, no graphics, DDR3 memory with or without USB 3.0.

Happy New Year!

I have a ton of "old" stuff from back when everything was saved to floppies because hard drives were not the most reliable method to store info.

I need to get the stuff saved on different media; I was hoping to get a newer machine built prior to doing my burn to CD or USB.

SO, no suggestion?

I will probably go with the MSI 870A-G54 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard - hopefully I won't encounter any DOA's.

Thanks

Even though he was wrong about PATA, the second guy who responded did manage to point out two boards with floppy connectors.

Thanks I have not used MSI before so I hope I get board without problems. FYI-I will remove my floppy drive from my Antec LanBoy case and reuse it.

I have not seen many good reviews for the USB drives, hence the reuse of the old drive.

Happy New Year!
