Upgrade to intel i3 from dual core

Hi , i have a MSI motherboard MS -7507 .
My current processor is Intel Pentium Dual Core E2180 @ 2.00 GHz .
I wanted to know that will this motherboard support the i3 processor ?????

No it won't, you need a socket LGA1156 motherboard for that.

nd is it enough to play games for another 2 yrs or so ??

You will probably have to check the manufacturer's website, and you might have to upgrade the bios, but it should support any of the faster dual core and quad core CPU's, such as the E8500, Q9400, etc.

A faster CPU along with good graphics cards should work well for several more years. Even better if you are willing to overclock the CPU. There is a slight advantage to the i5's and i7's, and there should be even more advantage to the upcoming sandinyourshorts CPU's, but not as much as going from your 2.0GHz CPU to a good overclocked CPU at 3.5GHz or more.

Maybe at low-mid settings 1024 x768, but not much more.
