Activity gauge in CCC

Just played some Tf2 with the CCC open just for the sake of checking temps after not cleaning my comp for a while. Noticed that the single 4850 currently i have in runs as 87Cish with 60% fan speed.... however the Activity dial is bouncing between 45-60%...
Question: Is it normal that it is not 100% constantly?

Tf2 isn't a taxing game, and the HD4850 runs very well with it. If you'd like, I'll post some of my GPU taxations with my HD4650 to give you something to compare against (in TF2, of course).

I am running mine at 1920X1200.. and the FPS is around 40-50 on large servers... wouldn't the 4850 push at 100% if it wasn't bottle necked by something?

I'm not sure, to be honest. Running @ 1650x1050, I get around 60FPS with no AA (all high settings, 32-man server with about 10v10 action (visible) getting 45-50FPS). Keep in mind my card is supposed to be half as good as yours.

I run everything on and another 19 inch 1440X900 on the side.... i hope my 19inch is not making 40% of the 4850 processing power "unusable"... that is something i should probably explore

If nothing's running on it, it should be just fine. I don't know if GPUs allocate resources across monitors, but I don't think so.
