Forum Motherboards & Memory : Corsair None

Hello All!

I am new to the community, and am seeking advice. Although I know computers pretty well, I'm by no means an expert.

I just build up and AMD system using the Biostar A770E3 MB and an Athlon II CPU running at 3.1 GHz. I bought this combo from NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138179) & (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103896). I also bought (2) 4 GB stick of premium Corsair memorty that will support Dual Channel Memory mode (DDR3) up to 1600 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145315).

The manual is very sketchy when it comes to setting up the BIOS with the best memory / CPU configuration for best performance. Although I have the 2 memory sticks in the proper slots for Dual Channel operation, I'm not sure that it is enabled, as I don't see anything relevant to that upon power up.

Can you guys give me some help on how to set this unit up for max performance?

Firstly look this up and see if the RAM that you bought is on the list or not:

This is the RAM that I bought. CMX8GX3M2A1333C9. It's not listed on the chart, but then again, I don't see any 4 GB modules listed.
