Help, 13.2 Gb .avi file cannot be deleted in XP.

I was downloading a video from my digital video camera and XP reported that I ran out of HD space and aborted the download. The file should be about 5Gb in size as previous 2 files I downloaded. Now I cannot delete this huge junk file.

Hi. Start your computer at a command prompt. (press F8 on starting and select from list). Type dir /p then press enter. From the list find where the file you want to delete is. Then type del C:\thefilename and press enter. thefilename is the name of the file you want to delete. If the file is in a folder you would type del C:\foldername\thefilename and press enter. Foldername is the folder where the file is.Leave a space after typing dir and also leave a space after typing del

Hi, I tried to delete using DOS and it didn't work. I was able to delete it in SAFE MODE.
