hi, iv been having trouble getting my old voodoo2 to start. im using the fastvoodoo xp v4.0 GOLD drivers, with these drivers i have never had any problems, iv used the voodoo2 in old p2's, p3's and last was in an amd x2 4000+ and was fine. iv decided to put it in my intel e5300 rig to play old glide games but the drivers all install fine, system says its functioning properly and it works with n64 emulator (project64 with glide64 plugin) yet it refuses to work with unreal tournament, unreal, klingon honour guard. when i tried to start these games that i never use to have a problem on other systems it gives me a blank screen and pc freezes, i have 2 voodoo2 cards and happens with both (not using sli).

this problem is confusing as it will work with quake 3 and 2 using wickedGL wrapper,,,any ideas would really help as im stumped.

I'm sorry, but WHY are you using such an ancient card when you have a 9600GT?

its to play old glide classics that would otherwise run in ugly software mode, new cards cant run glide, only d3d and openGL.

yes voodoo banshee was a voodoo1 with 2d/3d basicly, voodoo2 was quicker.

i have one of the rare motherboards with integrated agpx2 voodoo3 2000 tv with 8mb of ram lol, even have the special tv lead hooked up to the mobo.

They can help you out when it comes to drivers but remember only 32bit support for 3DFX. (I am drakan player :s)
The only voodoo cards I got is a V3K, a 3500 TV (with a $30 copper cooler) and a real gem a 5500 with mods. XP 32 pro service pack 2 is some what stable for glide games but I have seen one running them fairly well under win7.

Try checking out Guru 3d for 3dfx drivers. They've got a pretty good Archive.

yay, i have success, i found that after installing fastvoodoo 4.0 and changing the glidex2 and x3 dll files with the ones in the obsidian2 driver pack that it now works (3dfxzoneit). im using xp pro with sp2 (32bit). all glide games are flying along includiing ut@96fps. got fastvoodoo drivers from guru3d and obsidian2 from 3dfxzoneit. :p
i think my problems may have been down to using a radeon card, my 96gt died so have had to revert to an x1650 so slooow.
